13th Jul 2009 20:13 The wind blew across her face as she crossed through the cemetery, her slight figure casting a shadow against the ground. Looking around warily, she slowly knelt to the ground, and set a few roses at the foot of the tombstone. Tears ran down her face as she remembered the day her boyfriend died. "I shouldn't be here, right now. He should be the one alive, not me.", she said aloud, as the memory drifted through her head.
They were both in the car, she in the passenger seat, and him driving. The moon was covered by clouds, making the night seem darker. He didn't notice the stop sign, nor did he notice the approaching car. The headlights of the car were off, making it hard to see the black Porsche as it drove quickly, and quietly down the street. She knew something was wrong, that something horrible was going to happen tonight, but she quickly shoved the thoughts out of her head. They were coming back from his party, he had turned 18 at exactly 8:03 at night. She was so excited for him, he would finally be an adult. Their entire futures were planned out. She would be turning 18 in three months; at which point, they would go to Venice for their wedding, and then Rome for their honeymoon. She stifled back a sob, as she came back to reality. Overcome with shock, she looked around noticing for the first time how dark it was. Holding a hand out in front of her, she slowly stood up, waving her hand in front of her face. 'Everything is so somber, I'm not able to see anything...' she thought. The wind picked up, causing her to shiver. Looking around she noticed the moon was covered by clouds, making it impossible to see anything...And then it started to pour...
The Porsche halted to a stop a couple meters ahead of the car. The driver got out slowly, and wickedly grinned as he noticed the approaching car. Stepping out of the way, his eyes flared red as he retreated in the shadows of the woods. His reason for coming here almost complete. Keeping his eyes trained on the car as it came speeding around the corner, he watched as it crashed into the Porsche. 'What a damn shame that I had to waste that car. 'Twas a nice one too..' he thought.
