Chapter 1

17th Jan 2009 13:52 Rate T for teen. The only thing similar to my life in this story will be the romance parts. I just thought I would spice it up a bit.
He pulled me closer, our bodies intertwined. I felt his warm breath on the back of my neck, giving me goose bumps.
"I love you,"I whispered to him. I heard his breathing stop and I moved my head to look up at him.
"Willow! You better wake up!!" I felt some one's cold hands touch my shoulder. I shook and opened my eyes. My cellmate was standing behind me while I sat on the bench, laying my head against the table.
"What do you want?" I mumbled, barely making out the words. Her eyes shifted from me to the middle of the cafeteria. I spotted red liquid on the ground and one of the guards lying beside it. At first, I didn't register what was going on but then I realized what had happened. I quickly got to my feet, knocking off my orange jacket that I was using as a pillow from the table. My eyes widened for I never thought that someone would die in a women's only prison. "What happened?"I asked as I finally managed to keep my voice calm. My cellmate, Lex, shrugged.
"I just got back from the bathroom and I spotted the guards hooked up to the bars over by the windows and everyone standing around. Didn't know if you knew what happened 'cause you was asleep." Her grammar bothered me, like always, but I had to ignore it today.
I glanced around the cafeteria, searching for something from the other prisoners but all I got was shock. There were a few visitors still left who were attached to the bars in the back by hand cuffs. I then spotted a guy in a suit hand cuffed to the bars. People in suits never came to a prison, never. I elbowed Lex and pointed to him.
"He's a criminal investigator. Came here to talk Sam." I looked at Sam who was behind everyone, standing there quietly. If I had to guess who killed the guard I would say it was her. Though she did look innocent, she had to get in here some how. I found out the hard way that she is the devil when ticked.
"We're all going to die! We're all dead! We'll end up just like the guard!" I turned my head to see Beth screaming up a storm. She had to be mental or something because she didn't understand a thing.
"No one is going to die unless someone says something about this, Beth." Sierra said, stepping out of the crowd. She had a knife in her hand and was covered in blood. I realized that most of them were covered in blood. So was this a group effort?
"We're all gonna die!"She fell to her knees and a few women rushed up to her.
"The police don't know anything about this so we can just blame it on one of other guards."Sierra continued, trying to prove to Beth that it was fine. I knew that it would be more complicated than that.
"Actually Sierra there is a cop here already." Lex pointed at the guy in the suit and Sierra walked up to him, holding the knife up to his throat.
"Well I guess we'll have to kill him too then." She said. Another one of the prisoners, who I think is Sierra's cell mate, stood behind her smiling.
"Maybe we should give him a slow, painful death." She said, giggling. I swear it was the most unattractive giggle in the world. Sierra raised the knife to his ear.
"I think we should start here and make our way down."Sierra traced the the blade down his neck.
"No wait!"He cried."I can help you guys!" They stopped and everyone turned to stare at him.
"How?" Beth asked. He looked around at us. Most of us didn't wear our orange jackets, but just a white tank top and the orange pants. We looked dangerous, with the muscles and tattoos that some had on, but most of us were in here for drugs. I was in here for killing three men. I called it self defense.
"I can compromise for you! That way no one will have to die." They all liked the idea of that but I narrowed my eyes suspicious. They realised him and started to talk. I didn't catch what they said because it wasn't interesting to me. Strange yet true. I took another look around the room, my eyes always stopped on Sam. I knew it was her, I knew she was the one behind everything. There is actually a reason why I am in here. A cell phone ring, it was the man in the suit's cell. He started talking fast, his eyes worried and moved around the room taking all of us in. His eyes stopped on me. I wouldn't say I was the most interesting person to look at but considering I was only seventeen while the others were either thirty or forty, I was quite strange. He got off the phone and Lex walked back over to me.
"He says his name is Tom McGrew. Came here to question Sam about a new murder that happened several years ago. Said something about it being similar to her previous vics'. There are more of his kind coming, to compromise and get that Tommy out. I don't really know what is going to happen." Lex finished, her eyes on me, while I studied McGrew. He was just an ordinary, over weight criminal investigator. I didn't consider him much of a threat.
His phone rang again. He listened intently, nodding his head a couple of times then explaining into Sierra. She thought about something than nodded. McGrew got off the phone and walked out just like that. There were guards waiting for him on the outside so none of us could leave. I saw a small group of people. Two males, one old probably in his forties, and one about in his low thirties. There was a female who was probably high twenties, she looked at me and made me think of the phrase 'If looks could kill.' I sneaked up behind the door with no one paying much attention to me, and pressed my ear against the door.
Tom McGrew relaxed when he got out their. The old guy, who I was guess was the boss, didn't look to happy.
"The CIA is here."He told McGrew.
"Why?"Tom asked.
"They are trying to tell us they cant deal with this case. They say it has nothing to do with us and that we should let them handle it." My heart beat a couple times faster as I listened. Why would the CIA be here?
Then I spotted them. It was only guys. One about average height for a twenty one year old with spiked black hair. His eyes were dark and serious. The other one was a little taller than the first, with brown hair that when down to his ear. I instantly noticed that he was Asian. He had bright, curious blue eyes that reminded me of my grey ones, always filled with curiosity. I pushed my blond hair back behind my ear as I listened for more.
"There is a very good reason why you mustn't interfere." The Asian one spoke first. The other one kept on glancing through the door. I shrank down.
"I have to or else the guards and visitors will die." The old boss spoke. I could tell he really didn't care about them."And I have to finish a case!"He was growing furious."You better give me a good reason why we cant go in there!"
"It is because we have a case going right now in there and we don't need you four to screw that up!" The Asian growled at him. "One of our agents is in there now and if we don't finish this then all her time in their would have been a waste!"
The conversation sure got interesting quickly. They spoke quietly for a bit and I heard the move towards the door. I took a step back and ran back over to Lex, avoiding the body. The black hair guy from the CIA entered with Tom. Everyone started speaking loudly.
"Who is that?" Sierra yelled. The room got quiet.
"This is agent Damon Jones. He will be helping me find the killer. Now if all of you could just please stay calm and let us do are job everything will be fine." Tom's voice was calm and controlling. We all nodded our heads. Then Damon spotted me. I wondered if he knew I had been listening. He walked towards me, making loud noises as his shoes hit the concrete ground. Suddenly, the girls around me stepped in front of me.
"Don't get near her!" Lex yelled. I stopped myself from rolling my eyes. Being the youngest they always thought I need protection. I would love to prove them wrong. Damon pushed his way past them, knocking them over. Only Sierra and Lex still stood in front of me. The charged at him with a knife and a pipe. I knew the knife was from the guard but I had no clue where Lex got the pipe from. Bathroom, maybe. He grabbed the blade with his hand and tossed it across the room. Lex tried to hit him with the pipe but he grabbed it from her and pushed her away. I guess the crazed look in his eyes was the reason why they had freaked out.Putting my hand on my pocket I looked up at him.
"Get out of here now."He growled. It was low so I wasn't sure anyone heard him.
"No."I snarled."Leave." He brought up the pipe and raised it above his head. I wasn't sure what he planned on doing but I wanted to be the one to react first. I slipped my hand into my pocket and pulled out the fairly sharp knife. The pipe was old and rusted so I knew my plan would work. I held the tip of the blade and threw it the pipe. The knife pierced the pipe and it went sailing to the wall with the knife stuck through it. The room was silent.
Damon stared at me. No one had been expecting that. I breathed in deeply, catching the scent of something sweet.
"What the-"I fell back. I felt some one's arm hold me up and then the following words.
"Shes an agent of the CIA!" Then everything went blank.
