ATM Club: Team Wheel of Fortune Event
2 months, 1 day & 13 hrs ago
17th Sep 2024 09:55 Sign up will begin October 1st and end October 9th, with game play to take place on October 13th at 12pm Mara Time. Please note, this event requires live participation. To sign up either post in the blog comments or MM me.
All those that sign up to play will be divided into 3 teams (Red Team, Yellow Team, and Blue Team) and assigned to a team when you sign up or no later than October 10th. Each team will need a captain for calling letters/solving puzzles in the main group chat. Teams are able to choose a captain on their own, however if no captain is chosen by the start of game play, a captain will be assigned for your team. In the event that fewer than 6 club members sign up, players will play the game as individuals.
Friend requests will be sent to all participants, if we are not already friends. This is so I can add you to two MT chat groups created for game play. One main chat group, and your assigned team chat group for separate discussion and strategizing.
In the main chat group with all participants, posts should only be made by myself or team captains. All chatting, puzzle discussions, and strategizing should be done in the separate team chats.
There will be 6 puzzle rounds played in total. 3 regular puzzle rounds and 3 bonus puzzle rounds. If fewer than 6 club members sign up, we will play an equal number of regular puzzle rounds as there are players, for everyone to get a chance to start a round.
Prizes
All participants that sign up and play on game day will receive a Mummy Doll of their choosing and a Knutt Poison.
In addition to these prizes, those participants on the winning team are able to choose a prize from the prize section of my gallery with items currently valuing anywhere from 4mil to 18mil.
Game Play
Regular Puzzles
For regular puzzles, each team will be given the opportunity to start a round. In the main chat group the blank puzzle will be presented and the first team will be asked to choose a letter. Consonants will earn you points, while buying a vowel will take away points. You cannot have negative points, therefore you must correctly guess a consonant before you can buy a vowel. If a letter is not chosen within 1 minute after being asked for the team’s chosen letter, the team forfeits their turn and the next team will be asked to choose a letter.
If there are none of the chosen letter in the puzzle, that team’s turn ends and the next team will be asked to choose a letter. If the puzzle has one or more of the chosen letter, the puzzle will be presented with the letter in its correct place(s) in the puzzle and the team will decide if they would like to try and solve the puzzle or end their turn.
A team may choose to solve the puzzle after any of their turns with a correctly chosen letter. However, if the team solves the puzzle incorrectly, the team will lose half of their earned points at that time in that round. A team will have 30 seconds to decide if they would like to solve the puzzle after the puzzle is presented with the correctly chosen letter placed and another 30 seconds to solve the puzzle if they choose to solve.
Bonus Puzzles
In between each regular puzzle round there will be a bonus puzzle. A bonus puzzle with pre-placed letters will be presented in the main group chat. Once the bonus puzzle is posted in the main chat, teams will have 3 minutes to discuss in their separate team group chats. I will then post again in the main chat for teams to post their final guess in the team group chats only. Teams will then have 30 seconds for the captain to post their final guess in their separate team group chats. No guesses will be made in the main chat for bonus rounds. All teams that solve the bonus puzzle correctly will earn points for the bonus round.
Scoring
-Each correct letter placed in the puzzle will earn 100 points.
-Buying a vowel will cost 50 points no matter how many times the vowel appears in the puzzle.
-The team that correctly solves a puzzle will lock in all points earned during that round for the remainder of the game.
-All other team’s scores from that round alone will be erased.
-Bonus round points will be announced with each bonus puzzle and are awarded to each team that solves the puzzle correctly and are locked in for the remainder of the game.
-The team with the most locked in points from all regular and bonus puzzles after all rounds wins.
-In the event of a tie after all the rounds, an additional bonus puzzle will be played between the teams that have tied.
Scoring example:
Your team guesses a letter on their first turn and there are 4 of that letter in the puzzle. Your team earns 400 points. Your team does not try to solve the puzzle. On your next turn, your team buys a vowel and there are 2 vowels in the puzzle. You lose 50 points for buying the vowel, bringing your round total to 350 points. Your team tries to solve the puzzle, but the guess is incorrect. Your team loses half of the points earned so far in this round and your score drops to 175. On your next turn, your team guesses another letter and there is 1 of that letter in the puzzle. You earn another 100 points, bringing your total back up to 275 points. Your team correctly solves the puzzle. Your team locks in that 275 points for the remainder of the game. All other teams lose any points earned that round, but keep any points they’ve locked in during other rounds of the game.
