Sad story

20th Jun 2009 11:44 I'm not sure if this story is true or not, but I sure hope it isn't.
Forgive my not so great explanation of this.
A woman named Marie had a husband and a child. They were tight on money, but Frank (her husband) had life insurance for himself that would give his family 31,000 dollars if he died. Marie really wanted the money, so she poisoned him. The symptoms of this included stomach ache and vomiting, like a flu, but it wasn't that. The only way doctors could tell what it really was, was if they looked at his fingernails because I think they have white lines on them due to this poison.
Frank died and Marie got all the money from his insurance plan. She blew all the money on cars, clothes, etc. Soon, once again, she was tight on money. She took all the money out of her daughter's savings account, and decided to poison her too. Her daughter was admitted to the hospital, and someone decided to look into why her daughter got sick right after Frank's death. So, he dug up Frank's body and found that he had the same sickness. When he had the theory that Marie was responsable for this, she was already in jail for passing bad cheques. When she got out of jail, she moved to a new state, changed her name to Teri, met a man, and got married.
After a while, she lied to her new husband by telling him that she was dying and that she needed to see her twin sister, Cari. (I think that was her name...) So she left him, lost 30 pounds, dyed her hair darker, and came back as Cari. As Cari, she told the husband that Teri had died.
Soon after that, the police from her home state found her after a long time and put her in jail for poisoning her daughter. (who had survived the poisoning, due to the man who found out about what had happened) Before she left, they weren't sure if it was her who had poisoned her family, but the police found the poison in her house, and in her purse.
She escaped from jail, but once again, the police found her in her hometown, but now she was very sick. She didn't have the poison in her system, but she was so sick that she ended up dying.
Like I said, I'm not 100% sure if this story is actually true, but I do know that there are horrible people in this world that do things like that. I hope that one day, things like this will stop, but it will take all of us to do so!
