Mission Advice

NOTICE - The prices mentioned in this Blog entry ARE NOT EXACT. For each potion, I searched the red one up in Trades and posted my results here. Also, along with all the potions I say you get in the end, you get 100k.

For members under 1mil. --

Tarquin - Tarquin's my personal favorite. Never spend more than 50k per item on this Mission, though, seeing that the most likely prize for you to get is only worth around 100k. When you complete Level 30 of this quest, you receive a random Poera Potion. Tarquin asks for your pet to read various books. A good thing about this Mission is you can use the same pet repeatedly, since the books they read don't go away once they read them. Also, you can generally trade pets that have read a lot of books for nice pets.

Clam - I, personally, view the Clam as a rip-off. My friend attempted this and failed near the end. The Clam asks for pearls, which can be extremely expensive, seeing that many times, the pearls used to be sold in Account Upgrades, and are now extremely expensive. You get a random Kronk Potion in the end of this Mission, which is currently selling in Trades for around 600k.

Troll - I don't really recommend this, seeing that the Troll asks your pet to learn how to play various instruments, some of which are really expensive. Like Tarquin, you can use the same pet repeatedly, then trade them off for something good in return. You receive a random Oglue Potion when you complete this Mission.

Trunx - Trunx is my second favorite Mission, next to Tarquin. Trunx asks your pet to listen to various CDs. Like Tarquin and the Troll, you can use the same pet various times, then trade them off for something good. You get a random Phanty Potion in the end of this Mission, which the basic colors don't sell for more than 500k in Trades.


For members over 1mil. --

Blitzen - Probably the most known, most attempted Mission out there. I often see new members asking for items needed for Blitzen, and I advise them to give up and try Tarquin. Blitzen asks for items according to their rarity, and can ask for up to three items. For example, on level 1, you'll be asked for a rarity 1 item, and so on. In the end of this mission, you get a random Viotto Potion, which sell for MILLIONS each.

Fates - One of the newer Missions. I'm not much of an expert on this one, so I advise you to read Shera50's Guide for this one on her Marasite. All I know is that you get a random Yuni Potion in the end, which sell for quite a bit of MP.

Trotter - Another new Mission that I advise you to read Shera50's guide on. You get a random Zoink Potion in the end, which sell pretty well.

Ublish - Ublish asks for random constellations, some of which you can only acquire from the Pirate Ship. You get a random Huthiq Potion when completing this mission.

Before you post in the Help and Assistance Forums

Here's a blog entry stating what is usually frowned upon in the Help and Assistance Forums.

There are a few of us that you'll constantly see around these forums. These members include me, LiseLee, soccer4cmp, hideouslypretty, Sanario, ripzacshair, and a few other people. These people tend to give information that it quite useful, so pay attention. :]

Try reading the other boards first before making your own. Your question might've already been answered.

Please try and refrain from making "GIVING HELP U NEED HERE" forums. While they might be useful, they simply take up space. It's more beneficial to go to boards asking specific questions.

You might need a Halloween pet to complete the Undying Woods Goal. These boards belong in the Pets Forum.

Don't make boards asking for Quest/Mission items.

There might be a Forum where your topic belongs other than the Help and Assistance Forums. For example, if you need a pet, the Pet Forum. If you need an item, Price Check. If you need graphics, Graphics Forum. If you need a club, Club Advertisement Forum, and so on.

Try not to make boards like "HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP". Sure, they get your attention, but they're really just annoying. If you name the board "Help", you'll get the help you need, and nicer responses. :]

Don't direct a topic at Staff members. Directing a topic at one or a single group of people is against the rules.


Newbie Help
--
One of the sacred unwritten commandments is "Thou shall not adopt thy newbies." Basically, if you want to help out the new members, go to boards asking specific questions.

I realize that new members can't post anywhere else yet, but that's no excuse for using the Newbie Help Forum as your chat haven. Just be patient, or join a club.

You don't NEED Marapals -- you want them. Don't make boards asking for them, just request them as you go along and make friends. Trust me, it's better to have five true friends than two hundred Marapals that you don't even remember meeting.

Don't make boards asking for free items. This is against the rules.

This does NOT mean games like Halo 3 or Runescape. This means Marapets Help.

Mainly, the things I put in the "All" catagory apply here.


Errors & Bugs

ONLY use this Forum if there is a glitch that you've noticed in Marapets. Don't use it to ask questions. Staff tends to reside in these Forums a lot, so be careful. They're watching youuu.

Read the News before posting here. There were TONS of boards asking why their characters' mouths were open during the Trick or Treating Event. All of these boards could've been prevented if they read the news.
